Eisai Awarded “The 9th Bioindustry Award” for Drug Discovery Research for Anti- Amyloid B Monoclonal Antibody Lecanemab

TOKYO, July 16, 2025 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Haruo Naito, “Eisai”) announced today that the drug discovery research for Lecanemab (product name: "LEQEMBI®"), a humanized anti-human soluble amyloid B (AB)protofibril monoclonal antibody indicated for early Alzheimer's disease (early AD*), which was co-developed by Eisai and BioArctic AB (Headquarters: Sweden; herein after, BioArctic), has received “The 9th Bioindustry Award” from the Japan Bioindustry Association (JBA).The Bioindustry Award, now marking its 9th year, recognizes achievements that have significantly contributed to the development of the bioindustry or are expected to contribute to its future growth. This award acknowledges that “based on the amyloid cascade hypothesis proposed in 1992, which is a leading theory for the cause and progression mechanism of Alzheimer's disease (AD), the successful development of lecanemab—designed specifically to target highly neurotoxic AB protofibrils, beginning with the Arctic mutation—represents a major breakthrough in drug discovery originating from Japan. It is expected to contribute significantly to the advancement of the biopharmaceutical industry both domestically and internationally.”AD is a progressive, fatal disease, and a global healthcare issue that greatly impacts not only the people living with the disease, but also their loved ones, care partners and society. Based on its corporate concept of "human health care (hhc)," Eisai has taken on the challenge of this difficult issue through nearly 40 years of drug discovery in the field of dementia, while spending time with patients and their families, as well as collaborating with various stakeholders including healthcare professionals, academia, patient organizations, care centers, health screening companies, and diagnostic companies to drive the development of a dementia ecosystem that aims to raise awareness and realize early diagnosis and treatment of AD. Eisai will strive to deliver LEQEMBI to more people with early AD who need it, while accelerate the building of a dementia ecosystem and continuing to create positive impact on the various issues surrounding dementia. Eisai serves as the lead of LEQEMBI development and regulatory submissions globally with both Eisai and Biogen Inc. (U.S.) co-commercializing and co-promoting the product and Eisai having final decision making authority.* Collectively referred to mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) or mild AD dementia.Eisai serves as the lead of LEQEMBI development and regulatory submissions globally with both Eisai and Biogen Inc. (U.S.) co-commercializing and co-promoting the product and Eisai having final decision making authority.*Collectively referred to mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) or mild AD dementia.Theme of awarded research:Drug Discovery Research for Anti- Amyloid B Monoclonal Antibody Lecanemab, for the Novel Treatment of Alzheimer's diseaseAward recipients:Teiji Kimura (Senior Group Officer and Head of Global Alzheimer's Disease Office, Eisai Co., Ltd.)Lars Lannfelt (Professor Emeritus, Uppsala University)Hiroyuki Kato (Director, Eisai Co., Ltd.)Akihiko Koyama (Officer and Head of Data Innovation Clinical Research, DHBL, Eisai Co., Ltd.,)Tomoo Ogawa (Group Officer and Head of Medical HQs, Eisai Co., Ltd.)1. About LecanemabLecanemab is the result of a strategic research alliance between Eisai and BioArctic. It is a humanized immunoglobulingamma (IgG1) monoclonal antibody directed against aggregated soluble (protofibril) and insoluble forms of amyloid beta (AB). Protofibrils are believed to contribute to the brain injury that occurs with AD and are considered to be the most toxic form of AB, having a primary role in the cognitive decline associated with this progressive, debilitating condition.(1) Protofibrils cause injury to neurons in the brain, which in turn, can negatively impact cognitive function via multiple mechanisms, not only increasing the development of insoluble AB plaques but also increasing direct damage to brain cell membranes and the connections that transmit signals between nerve cells or nerve cells and other cells.(2) It is believed the reduction of protofibrils may prevent the progression of AD by reducing damage to neurons in the brain and cognitive dysfunction.(3)Lecanemab has been approved in 45 countries and regions, including Japan, the United States, China, the European Union, South Korea, and Taiwan, and been under regulatory review in 11 countries. In January 2025, the supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA) for intravenous (IV) maintenance dosing of the treatment was approved in the U.S. After an 18 months initiation phase with once every two weeks of dosing, a transition to the maintenance dosing regimen of 10 mg/kg once every four weeks or continuing 10 mg/kg once every two weeks may be considered. Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) accepted Eisai’s Biologics License Application (BLA) for the LEQEMBI subcutaneous auto injector for weekly maintenance dosing in January 2025 and set a PDUFA action date for August 31, 2025.Since July 2020 the Phase 3 clinical study (AHEAD 3-45) for individuals with preclinical AD, meaning they are clinically normal and have intermediate or elevated levels of amyloid in their brains, is ongoing. AHEAD 3-45 is conducted as a public-private partnership between the Alzheimer's Clinical Trial Consortium that provides the infrastructure for academic clinical trials in AD and related dementias in the U.S, funded by the National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institutes of Health, Eisai and Biogen. Since January 2022, the Tau NexGen clinical study for Dominantly Inherited AD (DIAD), that is conducted by Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer Network Trials Unit (DIAN-TU), led by Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, is ongoing and includes lecanemab as the backbone antiamyloid therapy.2. About the Collaboration between Eisai and BioArctic for ADSince 2005, Eisai and BioArctic have had a long-term collaboration regarding the development and commercialization of AD treatments. Eisai obtained the global rights to study, develop, manufacture and market lecanemab for the treatment of AD pursuant to an agreement with BioArctic in December 2007. The development and commercialization agreement on the antibody lecanemab back-up was signed in May 2015.3. About the Collaboration between Eisai and Biogen for ADEisai and Biogen have been collaborating on the joint development and commercialization of AD treatments since 2014. Eisai serves as the lead of lecanemab development and regulatory submissions globally with both companies cocommercializing and co-promoting the product and Eisai having final decision-making authority.(1)Sehlin D, Englund H, Simu B, Karlsson M, Ingelsson M, Nikolajeff F, Lannfelt L, Pettersson FE. All Nippon Airways and Hitachi Unveil Japan’s First Airline “Operations Brain” System, Enabling Rapid, Optimal Flight Schedule Revisions During Disruptions

All Nippon Airways and Hitachi Unveil Japan’s First Airline “Operations Brain” System, Enabling Rapid, Optimal Flight Schedule Revisions During Disruptions

• All Nippon Airways, in partnership with Hitachi, developed a new system that can automatically formulate fast and optimal revision plans for flight schedules to address disruptions from bad weather and other challenges.• By combining All Nippon Airways' operational expertise with Hitachi's planning optimization technology, the partners developed and began operating the system in July.• The system shortens flight schedule revision times by several hours, helping minimize customer impact during irregularities.TOKYO, July 15, 2025 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - To reduce disruption impacts on customers, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Hitachi, Ltd. (Hitachi), in collaboration with Hitachi Consulting Co., Ltd. (Hitachi Consulting), launched a system that automatically and rapidly generates optimized flight schedule revisions during disruptions affecting ANA's domestic flight operations. This system was jointly developed by combining ANA's operational expertise with Hitachi's technological capabilities. This is the first time a Japanese airline has implemented such a system. The system dynamically collects and analyzes large amounts of data, including aircraft operation schedules, maintenance plans, crew schedules and various airport conditions, to autonomously generate multiple revised schedule proposals. It intelligently adapts to real-time changes, including modifications to maintenance plans, airport or runway closures and consecutive irregular events across multiple airports. ANA's operations staff can then swiftly review and select the most effective option, significantly reducing decision times and improving operational performance.Previously, ANA relied heavily on the expertise of seasoned operations staff, which created challenges in both human resource development and the time required to formulate optimal schedule revisions that consider complex conditions within a limited timeframe. Therefore, innovation in operation management was needed.Recognizing these challenges, ANA, Hitachi and Hitachi Consulting began developing the system in 20191. Extensive trials confirmed that the system's proposals match the quality of schedules produced by highly experienced operations staff while reducing work time by several hours, especially during large-scale disruptions. For example, in scenarios where typhoons severely disrupted flight operations, veteran ANA staff with more than a decade of experience previously spent entire nights manually adjusting schedules to minimize impact. With the implementation of this new system, we can now:-Reduce the time needed to consider revisions by up to 70%.-Respond flexibly and repeatedly to changes in weather forecasts, such as typhoon paths and speeds.-Relieve the mental stress on operations staff who are pressured to quickly create and decide on schedule revisions.-Improve flight stability by allowing for the rapid comparison of multiple revision options. These benefits are expected to enable faster communication to our customers, which will in turn lead to an enhanced customer experience.Amid the global push for digital technology in the aviation industry, this system boasts exceptional accuracy in two key areas: its versatility to automate solutions for any disruption, from major events to daily issues, and the comprehensiveness to replicate the operational quality ANA has honed in a challenging environment like Japan, with its frequent typhoons and complex flight paths.ANA continues to drive digital transformation by integrating advanced technologies with human expertise, striving to set new global standards for operational excellence. For more information on this system and ANA's flights, please visit the ANA website.Hitachi will plan to expand this system as the Lumada2 solutions. The initiative will extend capabilities to ANA's international operations and other airlines worldwide, supporting critical social infrastructure. Then we aim to improve the productivity of frontline workers and enhance people's well-being. The MINDS Programme (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions) was launched by WEF to spotlight AI applications already delivering real impact across critical sectors like healthcare, energy and financial services.Developed on the "Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS (1)" all-in-one operation platform offered under the Fujitsu Uvance business model to solve societal issue, the solution transforms inventory management and ordering operations in the supply chain and supports advanced management decision-making. The "Fujitsu Kozuchi AutoML" AI service, which can rapidly generate high-precision machine learning models, creates dozens of demand forecasting models in minutes from data automatically gathered and ordered using a knowledge graph. The solution employs multiple AI agents specialized for tasks such as procurement, inventory, production, and sales. Based on real-time alerts for inventory shortages or excess inventory, each AI agent develops countermeasures such as changing suppliers or allocating inventory. From the proposed countermeasures, the orchestrator agent selects the best option considering the balance of cost, lead time, and risk, and the evaluator agent assesses its validity, enabling users to quickly take optimal action based on proposals made by AI.A simulation carried out using data from an imagined major company with approximately US$10 billion in annual sales, showed the solution reducing annual inventory management costs by approximately US$15 million and cutting unnecessary inventory stock by approximately US$20 million, in addition to reducing work hours by more than 50%. The solution was also able to carry out an operating profit impact assessment following a simulated natural disaster within 3 hours of its occurrence. Fujitsu provides this solution to manufacturing customers facing inventory management challenges, supporting supply chain efficiency and resilience enhancement. Moving forward, Fujitsu will continue to assist its customers in making optimal decisions to swiftly respond to unforeseen events such as geopolitical risks, natural disasters, and market fluctuations. Under Fujitsu Uvance, Fujitsu will leverage Decision Intelligence utilizing data and AI to strengthen sustainability in the face of supply chain uncertainty, advancing both corporate value creation and social contribution.(1) Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS : Fujitsu's platform service that securely integrates and stores structured and unstructured data dispersed inside and outside the enterprise, and builds a high-speed data analysis infrastructure while ensuring governance. “URECE” (Dotinurad) Launched in China as a treatment for Gout

TOKYO, July 14, 2025 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Haruo Naito, “Eisai”) announced today that it has launched “URECE®” (brand name in China: “Youlesi®”, generic name: dotinurad) in China as a treatment for Gout. URECE was approved by the National Medical Products Administration in China as a treatment for gout patients with hyperuricemia in December 2024.URECE is a new therapeutic medicine for gout and hyperuricemia discovered by FUJI YAKUHIN. It suppresses uric acid reabsorption and lowers blood uric acid levels by selectively inhibiting the urate transporter (URAT1) related to reabsorption of uric acid in the kidney.Eisai concluded a license agreement with FUJI YAKUHIN for China and five ASEAN member states: Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Thailand, granting exclusive development and distribution rights in these countries. This approval in China is based on the results of a multicenter, active controlled, double-blind, parallel-group, randomized, Phase 3 study of 451 gout patients conducted in China by Eisai.1 The results of this study showed that the proportion of subjects with serum uric acid levels of 6.0mg/dL or less at 24 weeks, which was the primary endpoint, was 73.6% [95% confidence interval (CI): 67.8,79.5] in the dotinurad group and 38.1% [95% CI: 31.6, 44.5] in the comparator febuxostat group, confirming the statistical superiority of dotinurad 4 mg over febuxostat 40 mg (difference of proportion 35.87% [95%CI: 27.36, 44.37, p less than 0.001]) (see section 3. About the Phase 3 Clinical Trial”). Eisai has obtained approval for dotinurad in China, Thailand and the Philippines.Gout can develop at any age, is more common in men than women, and during an acute attack, can cause severe joint pain, swelling, redness, and inflammation. The pain gradually improves over a few days, but can sometimes last for weeks. If left untreated, the joint tissue may become damaged and deformed, leading to restrictions in daily activities and a decrease in quality of life.2The prevalence of gout is increasing, and it is estimated that there are currently about 23 million patients with gout in China.3 It is expected that the number of patients will further increase in the near future due tochanges in lifestyle and dietary preferences in accordance with socioeconomic development. Eisai is committed to providing URECE to more patients with gout in China as a new treatment option, and will contribute to improving the quality of life (QOL) of patients.“Youlesi®”Product OutlineChinese Trade name: “Youlesi” (URECE)Chinese generic name: Duo ti nuo lei pian (Dotinurad Tablets)Indication for use: It is indicated for gout patients with hyperuricemia.Dosage and administration: For oral use, the usual adult initial dosage is 1 mg of dotinurad once daily. The dose level should then be gradually increased as needed by checking blood uric acid levels. The usual maintenance dosage is 2mg once daily and may be adjusted according to the patient’s condition, but up to 4 mg once dailyAbout “URECE®” (Dotinurad)URECE is a therapeutic medicine for gout and hyperuricemia discovered by FUJI YAKUHIN. URECE selectively inhibits URAT1, one of the uric acid transporters, thus preventing reabsorption of uric acid by the kidneys and promoting uric acid excretion in the urine. In addition, URECE has a small effect on other transporters affecting uric acid secretion, so it reduces serum uric acid levels at lower doses. URECE is expected to have a low risk of side effects and drug interactions. In Japan, FUJI YAKUHIN obtained manufacturing and marketing approval for URECE in January 2020 and launched it in May 2020.Eisai concluded a license agreement with FUJI YAKUHIN for China and five ASEAN member states: Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Thailand, granting exclusive development and distribution rights in these countries. URECE was approved in Thailand for gout and hyperuricemia in Thailand in September, 2024 and in the Philippines in February, 2025.About the Phase 3 Clinical Trial (Study FYU-981-J086-301)1This was a multicenter, active-controlled, double-blind, parallel-group, randomized, Phase 3 study conducted to confirm the superiority of dotinurad 4 mg over febuxostat 40 mg as the primary endpoint, assess safety, and confirm the noninferiority of dotinurad 2 mg to febuxostat 40 mg as the secondary endpoint in Chinese patients with gout. Patients with gout and serum uric acid (SUA) levels exceeding 7.0 mg/dL were randomly assigned to either the dotinurad group or the febuxostat group in a 1:1 ratio, investigational product treatment for 24 weeks (the dotinurad group received 1 mg/day for 4 weeks, 2 mg/day for 8 weeks, and 4 mg/day for 12 weeks, while the febuxostat group received 20 mg/day for 4 weeks and 40 mg/day for 20 weeks). The primary endpoint was the proportion of patients with SUA less than or equal to 6.0 mg/dL at 24 weeks, and the secondary endpoint was the proportion of patients with SUA less than or equal to 6.0 mg/dL at 12 weeks.Of the total 451 patients, 225 were assigned to the dotinurad group and 226 to the febuxostat group. Of these, 441 patients (220 in the dotinurad group and 221 in the febuxostat group) were included in the Full Analysis Set (FAS). For the primary endpoint, the proportion of patients with SUA less than or equal to 6.0 mg/dL at 24 weeks was 73.6% [95% confidence interval (CI): 67.8, 79.5] in the dotinurad group and 38.1% [95% CI: 31.6, 44.5] in the febuxostat group, confirming the statistical superiority of dotinurad 4 mg over febuxostat 40 mg (difference of proportion 35.87% [95% CI: 27.36, 44.37, p less than 0.001]).For the secondary endpoint, the proportion of patients with SUA less than or equal to 6.0 mg/dL at 12 weeks was 55.5% in the dotinurad group and 50.5% in the febuxostat group, confirming the statistical non-inferiority of dotinurad 2 mg to febuxostat 40mg (difference of proportion 5.24% [95% CI: -3.69, 14.17]).The most common adverse events were gouty arthritis, COVID-19, and liver function abnormality in the dotinurad group, and gouty arthritis, COVID-19, and increased alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in the febuxostat group. No new safety concerns with dotinurad were observed.References1. Sun J, Wang Y, Zhang X, et al. Fujitsu’s high-precision skeleton recognition AI adopted to enhance figure skating athlete training

KAWASAKI, Japan, July 5, 2025 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Fujitsu Limited today announced that its high-precision skeleton recognition AI technology, which enables the digitization of three-dimensional human movements, has been adopted for use by the Japan Skating Federation. The technology will be used to analyze and enhance the training of figure skating athletes at a training camp to be held at the National Training Center, located at Kansai Airport Ice Arena, from July 3 - 5.Conventional motion capture technology is impractical for training purposes due to the time-consuming setup, slow result output, and limitations in the number of performances that can be analyzed. Furthermore, markerless motion capture technology, which relies on general video footage for analysis in figure skating, faces challenges in accurately analyzing complex movements such as jumps and spins due to posture deviations and misrecognition. The Japan Skating Federation chose Fujitsu’s skeleton recognition AI technology, developed since 2016 in the fast-paced and complex field of gymnastics, because of its high precision and its ability to reflect analysis results in real-time.Other featuresTechnology based on the world's first and only internationally-recognized AI gymnastics scoring systemProprietary correction algorithms significantly reduce jitter (estimation error) in posture recognition, previously a challenge in image analysis using deep learningPhotorealistic technology generates large amounts of training data, shortening the learning period significantly. Processes that traditionally required months of manual work can now be automated and completed within a matter of hours.Future PlansFujitsu aims to expand use of its high-precision skeleton recognition AI technology beyond the sports industry into areas such as workload analysis in manufacturing, early disease detection in healthcare, and the utilization of analytical data in the entertainment sector.Under Fujitsu Uvance, Fujitsu’s cross-industry business model to address societal issues, Fujitsu will continue to advance people's well-being in society through the use of data and AI, in collaboration with Uvance partners.Morinari Watanabe, President, International Gymnastics Federation and Member of the International Olympic Committee, comments:“The IOC announced the Olympic AI Agenda in 2024, recommending the use of cutting-edge technologies, including AI, to enhance scoring fairness and competitive strength. I am very pleased that training based on ice movement analysis, which was previously considered impossible, has been realized. I hope this initiative will lead to the improvement of competitive strength and the further development of the skating world.”Yohsuke Takeuchi, Director/Chair of High Performance Figure Skating, Japan Skating Federation, comments:"The Japan Skating Federation carries out analysis of athletes' jump performance. Marker-based 3D analysis equipment presents significant challenges, including the inability to analyze during trials and the significant time required for analysis, which delays feedback to athletes. We expect that Fujitsu's high-precision skeleton recognition AI technology and its rapid output of results will solve these problems and contribute to the swift improvement of athletes' competitive performance. The Japan Skating Federation will further expand the application of this technology and consider its use for motion analysis during competitions as part of its ongoing efforts to utilize cutting-edge technology to improve athletic performance and enhance fan engagement."About FujitsuFujitsu’s purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. MHIET Launches 450kW Gas Cogeneration System Capable of Hydrogen Co-Firing

Jointly developed with Toho Gas, based on the currently available 450kW city gas engine GS6R2Allows for hydrogen co-firing rate of up to 15 vol%, with maximum output and operation unchanged even during hydrogen co-firing operationPackage also available to run solely on city gas at the time of installation, while allowing for switch to hydrogen co-firing with minimal on-site modifications"SGP M450" 450kW gas cogeneration systemTOKYO, July 4, 2025 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engine & Turbocharger, Ltd. (MHIET), a part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group, announces a new lineup to SGP M450, a gas cogeneration system jointly developed with Toho Gas Co., Ltd., capable of hydrogen co-firing at a maximum of 15 vol%, with power output of 450kW. It is launched for Japan market at present. To allow for hydrogen co-firing, the two companies modified the fuel gas and engine control systems of the GS6R2 city gas mono-firing engine to develop a hydrogen co-firing engine. More than 500 hours of demonstration testing was conducted at the Toho Gas Technology Research Institute (Tokai, Aichi Prefecture), confirming the reliability of hydrogen mixing and the reduction in CO2 emissions. In the demonstration testing, various simulated operating patterns were applied to verify capabilities required for power generation equipment to respond to fluctuations in power demand and maintain stable operation. The tests confirmed that there is no risk of abnormal combustion, and that the system can be operated in the same manner as the city gas mono-firing model. The hydrogen blend ratio has been set at a maximum of 15 vol% to minimize the scope of change from conventional natural gas engines. The system has two operating modes, city gas 13A mono-firing mode and hydrogen co-firing mode, and can be switched between modes at any point during loaded operation. In hydrogen co-firing mode, only city gas is used for starting the engine, which means the same amount of initial load as city gas mono-firing mode can be accepted even in the event of a power outage, making the system highly reliable for business continuity plans (BCP).In addition, for customers who are considering the use of hydrogen in the future, MHIET is also offering the "Hydrogen Ready" package. The system is configured for city gas mono-firing at the time of installation, but some equipment and functions necessary for hydrogen co-firing are also pre-incorporated, allowing for a shortened work period when the site is converted for hydrogen co-firing.Cogeneration systems, owing to the expected reduction in the environmental load through energy conservation, are considered one of the distributed energy resources that should be pursued further to achieve carbon neutrality. Moreover, since they are power sources able to respond to power outages resulting from large-scale disasters or other emergencies, they are also expected to play a role in strengthening resilience.*Going forward, MHIET will continue to promote the greater use of hydrogen and the widespread adoption of distributed power generation, contributing to the realization of a low-carbon and decarbonized world, and improving the resilience of society as a whole.(*)Resilience denotes toughness, recuperative power, and flexibility. It specifically refers to such initiatives as development of disaster-resilient infrastructure, expanding cooperation with businesses to support quick recovery, and strengthening information dissemination.About MHI GroupMitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group is one of the world’s leading industrial groups, spanning energy, smart infrastructure, industrial machinery, aerospace and defense. These companies recognized that focusing only on financial indicators such as shareholder value creates vulnerabilities, while organizations that effectively manage relationships and risks across customers, employees, partners, shareholders, society, and nature achieve superior long-term performance and market resilience."Japan's business longevity demonstrates that systematic stakeholder insights and management creates competitive advantages," said Kyle Barnes, CEO of Valuufy. "Our partnership with Mainichi Future Creation Lab makes these practices measurable and actionable. ValuuCompass provides companies with the stakeholder intelligence and risk visibility needed to navigate today's complex business environment."Stakeholder Intelligence PlatformValuuCompass functions as both a transparency tool and management platform, enabling organizations to track and optimize their stakeholder ecosystem. The methodology builds on 'sanpo yoshi', the centuries-old principle practiced by Ohmi merchants ensuring business benefits the seller, buyer, and society. Valuufy has expanded this wisdom into 'nanaho yoshi' or 'seven-way satisfaction' for modern business complexity.ValuuCompass reveals how stakeholder relationship health connects to business resilience. Organizations can identify specific risks such as employee turnover costs, customer defection patterns, supply chain vulnerabilities, and regulatory backlash before these issues impact operations. The platform also helps companies avoid reputation risks by identifying gaps between public sustainability communications and actual performance.ValuuCompass has demonstrated market validation through implementations with a major Japanese financial institution and one of the "Magnificent Seven" technology leaders, providing stakeholder relationship intelligence, portfolio risk assessment, and competitive benchmarking capabilities across different markets and business cultures."ValuuCompass shows companies both the value they're creating and the risks they need to manage across all stakeholder relationships," Barnes stated. "This dual capability—value identification and risk early warning—gives organizations visibility into their business ecosystem that conventional frameworks miss."The ValuuCompass methodology synthesizes over 1,200 metrics from 45 global frameworks into actionable business intelligence. The partnership addresses growing corporate frustration with existing frameworks that cannot benchmark performance across competitors, industries, or regions while failing to connect stakeholder impacts to long-term business success."Japanese businesses have long understood that lasting success requires creating value for society alongside shareholders," said Tamotsu Takatsuka, CEO of Mainichi Future Creation Lab. "This partnership translates that understanding into concrete metrics that today's business leaders can implement while providing the stakeholder intelligence needed for effective risk management."Market ApplicationsThe platform serves organizations facing various sustainability challenges: mature sustainability teams seeking to demonstrate measurable impact, investment firms requiring better portfolio guidance and risk assessment, and companies identifying value creation opportunities through stakeholder relationship optimization. For investors specifically, ValuuCompass provides stakeholder value assessment and risk intelligence that conventional due diligence processes cannot capture, quantifying how stakeholder relationship deterioration translates into financial impact. The collaboration will begin with content examining case studies of Japanese companies that embody sustainable business models and feature dialogue with executives and thought leaders on the future of business sustainability and value creation. The partnership will also explore additional collaborative opportunities to advance sustainability standards and business practices in Japan and globally, while identifying opportunities for expanded strategic initiatives. Following Valuufy's feature in Mainichi Weekly Economist in May, additional content will explore how Japan's traditional business values connect with next-generation sustainability thinking.Organizations wishing to learn how ValuuCompass can help them with their risk and value assessment or investment evaluations can contact learnmore@valuufy.com or visit www.valuufy.com.About ValuufyFounded in Kyoto and built on a decade's research at Doshisha University's Value Research Center, Valuufy translates stakeholder relationship management into measurable business value. Fujitsu launches solution to enhance customers’ global supply chain resilience

KAWASAKI, Japan, July 2, 2025 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Fujitsu Limited today announced the launch of a new solution that utilizes AI agents to facilitate rapid impact analysis and optimal decision-making in global supply chains. The solution, which is positioned to enhance resilience in global supply chains, will be available to customers worldwide from today as a new feature of Fujitsu's all-in-one operation platform Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS (DI PaaS), offered as part of Fujitsu Uvance, Fujitsu’s cross-industry business model to address societal issues.Fujitsu will continue to contribute to a sustainable world by enhancing resilience through the integration of data, AI technologies, and industry expertise, minimizing the impact on customers' businesses even in unforeseen circumstances.Navigating uncertainty: supporting customer resilience amid industry supply chain challengesIn recent years, geopolitical risks, natural disasters, and market fluctuations have heightened uncertainty for businesses around the world. The manufacturing industry, with its complex global supply chains, faces particularly significant risks. Unforeseen events can lead to changes in transportation routes, production stoppages, and increased costs, which can exert downward pressure on profits and reduce competitiveness. Traditional supply chain management struggles to respond swiftly, making the review of business continuity plans (BCP) and strengthening supply chain resilience urgent priorities.Solution featuresThe solution consolidates data from internal and external sources, swiftly pinpointing products heavily impacted by market fluctuations and calculating profit impacts. Utilizing DI PaaS's robust data integration capabilities, analyses that once took weeks can now be completed in days. AI agents offer countermeasure proposals, facilitating optimal decision-making through on-screen simulations. The solution enhances supply chain resilience through three key steps:1. Analysis of profit and cost structureVisualizes suppliers and factories affected by market fluctuations in the global supply chainPresents import costs incurred for each product and routeEnables customers to understand their profit and cost structure in detail and identify potential risks2. Strategic pricing simulatorAnalyzes the impact of price changes on demand using a price elasticity modelSimulates appropriate sale prices for each product when cost structures change due to market fluctuationsFacilitates the formulation of optimal pricing strategies in response to market changes, maximizing customer revenue3. Operational change simulatorSupports supply chain optimization through analysis of changes in cost structure and profit when changing from procurement sources with excessive import costsAI agents evaluate the impact of operational changes, such as selecting alternative suppliers and changing transportation routes, and the orchestrator agent makes comprehensive judgments to support rapid impact analysis and optimal decision-makingShotaro Yachi, Chairman of Fujitsu Future Studies Center, comments:"We are witnessing significant changes in the international landscape. In these rapidly evolving times, it's crucial to understand our environment, chart our course, and adapt.
